During May 2018 I will be artist in residence at Digital Artist Residency. Digital Artist Residency (DAR) is an online platform which provides a space for artists to develop ideas and display new artwork. The initiative aims to provide support for artwork created using digital processes, exploring the boundaries of art and technology. I will be making new work and experimenting with ideas about digital spaces in a project titled “Imaginary Excursions in Digital Borderspaces”.

Lass Struggle at FiLiA 2017
We had a great weekend at FiLiA 2017.
Highlights for me were Natalie Fyfe’s Choreography of the Mouth (middle photo), Eirini Kartsaki’s Bad Shit, Amanda Holiday’s Art Poems and Jill Eastland’s understated but brilliant There is an Invisible Army. Thanks to Jane Hellings for all the hard work and fun.

I am co- curating Lass Struggle with Jane Hellings at FiLiA 2017 this weekend at the Institute of Education, London. The exhibition will feature video screenings, performance and an exhibition examining the intersection of feminism and class.

Delighted that my short video Nothing Gets Through is screening in Quickening at The Nightingale Cinema in Chicago on Saturday, October 7 at 6 PM alongside some really great animators.
The NIGHTINGALE is a rough and ready microcinema located in Chicago’s Noble Square neighborhood. Programming strains include expanded cinema, new media, experimental narrative, documentary, and video art.
The screening has been programmed by Extended Practice: an artist-led collaborative project by Sara Holwerda and Angela Lopez created to support and make visible the work and needs of artist mothers.

I have a poster in Nasty Women Cambridge exhibition at Cambridge Artspace. Exhibition runs from 22nd- 30th April and all proceeds from sales go to Cambridge Women’s Aid, Cambridge Rape Crisis and Corona House.

Objectification and Gendered Violence Symposium
I gave a talk on this weekend on Art History and the Objectification of Women at the Objectification and Gendered Violence Symposium organised to coincide with the Object Object exhbition.
It was a really interesting day but the highlight for me was Eirini Kartsaki’s performance Tuck it in No More.
Jane Hellings’ fab convening was pretty good too.

Maternal Structures in Creative Work Conference
Jo and I were delighted to present our project One for Sorrow at the Motherhood and Creative Practice: Maternal Structures in Creative Work which was organised by Elena Marchevska and Valerie Walkerdine.
We talked about our project- full title: One for Sorrow: Imaginary Children, Superstition and Re-imagined Futures. We were also pleased to screen the video of our installation after our talk.
